FJMC and the Anshei Darom Region are pleased to announce the affiliation of the Temple Emanu-El Brotherhood of Dallas, Texas.
The Emanu-El Brotherhood Club has been gathering since 1922 and some of their most successful activities include:
- Temple Security Support: The Brotherhood contributes to temple security by providing equipment such as security radios, a golf cart, and a badge system.
- Community Involvement: Brotherhood members volunteer at the Dallas Furniture Bank where they build furniture for the homeless who are transitioning to a new home. They support Bryan’s House, a facility for special needs children and their families. And their partnership with Carter BloodCare allows them to have onsite blood drives.
- Programming and International Engagement: An example of recent programming includes a presentation from an IDF combat veteran who gave unique insights into what is going on in Israel today. During this program, they encouraged support for the Lone Soldier Center in Israel, https://lonesoldiercenter.com as well as other assistance to Israel. The Brotherhood also provided a grant to support refugees from the war in Ukraine who sought refuge in Poland.
Temple Emanu-El Brotherhood is looking forward to working with the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs in order to foster fellowship, generate new ideas and programming, solidify its leadership skills, expand its outreach to those in need, and to propagate Mitzvot.
